Ridiculous biblical quote concerning love&sex

The bible condemns much more than same sex couples.

Here are some examples

"A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed."
-* DEUTERONOMY 22:13-21

"If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman."
* DEUTERONOMY 22:22

Divorce is strictly forbidden in both Testaments, as is remarriage of anyone who has been divorced.* MARK 10:1-12

The Bible forbids a married couple from having sexual intercourse during a woman's period. If they disobey, both shall be executed.
"Never have sexual intercourse with a woman while she is unclean during her monthly period."
* LEVITICUS 18:19

If a man dies childless, his widow is ordered by biblical law to have intercourse with each of his brothers in turn until she bears her deceased husband a male heir.
"Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother."
* MARK 12:18-27

"If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity."
* DEUTERONOMY 25:11-12

... and you still want to ban same sex marriage? why not trying to ban law allowing divorces and try to make a law trying to ban sex during menstruation????

I don't support nor condemn gay marriage. I don't hold an opinion on it, it's just not for me to decide.

However,
Almost all your quotes are from the old testament.
In the new testament they denounce the old testament; and make the decision not to follow the same rules of sacrifice, eating prohibitions, etc.

Once again, I'm not making a remark on the Gay Marriage issue. But simply stating, that if you actually read the bible instead of taking these quotes out of context you'd have a stronger argument.

booooo gay marriage,

i think it's quite funny and true, adultery is wrong and only makes sense that the "unfaithful" should die; its death do us part fter ll so it's only fair.same goes for the inability to reproduce while the husband is alive; its what most men want "kids, an heir, etc."

and say no to public handjobs :(

re anonymous on new testament : also on gay marriages or homosexuality, there are phrases in the bible which shows that it was not condemned. Also, if you say it is not for you to decide when the law is prohibiting people from pursuing their basic right, than you are as guilty of not responding to injustice as anyone else.

First off you uneducated people, Leviticus and Deuteronomy is in the Old Testament which was the Old Law. We are not under the Law. The Old Testament is more of a History lesson. The New Testament is our Blueprint for life. And contrary to what any one says, homosexuality is an abomination unto God. However, we are to love the person, but hate the since that is the person.

Reading the bible does not Educate you my friend. it Brain Washes you.

Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit!.
